David Smith is Chief Financial Officer and Sr. Vice President of the Specialty Business Unit.
Mr. Smith joined Key Safety Systems in January 2005 as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Key Safety Systems Mr. Smith served in a series of increasing financial roles over the course of 19 years including the most recent eight year period at Key Plastics L.L.C. During Mr. Smith's tenure that business grew revenue from under $200 million in 1997 to more than $650 million in 2004. Mr. Smith was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Key Plastics in 2003. Mr. Smith began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young where he attained the position of Manager.
Mr. Smith graduated cum laude from Eastern Michigan University.
